9 1/2 hrs with a 15 min lunch stop, 14.5 miles, and our tent was up before dark and rain came in. I’m beat, this will be a short post. One of the most beautiful coastline stretches in the world, I think it could be titled ‘Beauty and the Bogs’. And rocks. Lots and lots and LOTS of rocks. We took so many photos because every crest of the cliff tops brought more views of amazing blue water, sandy coves, green hillsides scattered with flowers cascading to the water that it was slow going. When the oohs and ahs didn’t stop us in our tracks, the deeply (no joke) wet ground of the bogs did. And the rocks, all sizes of rocks, were a serious impediment to our speedy progress. But, that was fine with me because looking down at a slow pace helped me notice that for some marvelous reason the rocks on this coast have a strong propensity to cleave into heart shapes. This path is filled with love! And it shown down on us all day with the most gloriously sunshine. I think this was the longest and hardest walk I’ve ever done. And I feel great. Sore, but still great and ready for a good night’s sleep in a tent with the rain pitter pattering. The skies just opened. It will be a wet walk tomorrow, but for now I’m basking in today.
